TroopScore Launch

TroopScore announces launch of web portal for Veterans to navigate VA Healthcare and Benefits.

Free website offers vet-to-vet reviews as a tool for veterans to help each other navigate and improve the VA.

ASHEVILLE, NC (November 11, 2016)—TroopScore, a new online resource for veterans to research and rate physicians, care providers, and service organizations, announced today the launch of their new web-based tool at TroopScore.com. This secure web application is free for veterans, active military, and their families, and works on any device.

TroopScore aims to accomplish four goals: 1) improve patient satisfaction; 2) vastly improve delivery and efficiency of VA & Choice Program Healthcare and benefits; 3) integrate with and assist community delivery efforts; and 4) help maintain providers’ reputations through independent validation.

“There have been many attempts to improve the VA system, but nothing with the potential of this veteran-to-veteran review site,” said Aaron Sanders, TroopScore co-founder. “Vets are overdue for an independent resource so they can to highlight top performers and sound the alarm at abuse. TroopScore is a winner for veterans because it gives them a record of the care they receive, and allows them to send a ‘hand signal’ to their buddy behind them.”

“Physicians in the private sector are comfortable with public reporting and research sites; we’re bringing that to veterans. TroopScore stands ready to help vets, doctors, service organizations, government and the VA,” said Sanders.

TroopScore’s new and free veteran and family membership offers vets the ability to create a profile with custom service information, leave anonymous but verified reviews, ratings and tips, and navigate their way through the VA system with guidance from their brother and sister veterans.

“When most civilians think of the VA, it’s usually on Veterans or Memorial Day, maybe during an election, but too often only when there’s a scandal in the system,” said Brandon Sirois, TroopScore Co-Founder. “Providing a platform for veterans to communicate their VA experiences in near real-time, TroopScore helps eliminate those heartbreaking moments by improving the VA Healthcare and Benefits systems from the inside out, and the public can rest easier knowing that their tax dollars are being spent in the best way possible.”

TroopScore is also offering providers a free Basic Level membership to celebrate the launch of TroopScore.com. This membership offers physicians, VA leadership, organizations serving veterans, and others:

✪ The ability to edit their profile information and improve their profile with a photo, custom contact information, specific areas of licensure and expertise, procedures typically performed, hospital and clinic affiliations, and insurance accepted;

✪ The option to provide a response to patient satisfaction result totals;

✪ A proven resource to engage veterans and improve outcomes;

✪ Future tools to compare and contrast care and service delivery with peer groups on a local, regional, and national level standards are based upon patient satisfaction surveys established by the National Core Indicators program.
